I bought 17x9" wheels thinking i would just run 265's, but a few people tell me they won't work, too narrow, and I don't want to have to modify the truck, mainly because I don't really know what i'm doing as far as that goes, so.... I thought I'd try 275's?? anybody run these?? What kind?

well 265s are 10" wide so if u have a 9" wide rim u will only have 1/2" sidewall on each side is very little. 275s are only 1/2" wider than 265. either can be mounted on the 9" wide but the narrowest tire i would run on a 9" wide rim is a 285 but thas just my personal opinion.

How much will I have to do to the truck to make the 285's work,I don't want a lift kit.
