I have the bolts out, and I have beat on it from every angle I can get to…
I’m going to try to find a long pry bar to beat into the seam… what is it glued on there with, concrete?

I had a similar experience. I was replacing it with aftermarket so beating into the seam worked for me with a long prybar

Not much room to work in there.....but an old wood chisel with a sharp edge tapped in the seam might do less damage than a pry bar.......maybe spray some PB blaster on it as well.....

Mine was a pain too. Since I was also replacing with an aftermarket I was a little rough.
But I slid a 1x down from the top. And hammered on the 1x til it popped off.
I then shoved my big ole hands in there and cleaned off the block c

Try Kroil. They use it in the oil fields for stuck valves. WD 40 on steroids

I did get it, thanks for the suggestions.
I went with the Leroy diesel drain kit. I am so sick of the oil soaked everything on my truck.
I ended up using a long large flat blade screwdriver and a few well placed smacks.
cleaning the block free of the gasket went smoothly… but leroy’s kit didn’t come with a gasket… should I put silicone on there? Or get a new gasket?
