Ok so i took the muffler off of my truck and it is basically the same and i know you need to take the cat off for the noise but if i just wanted a little more noise than stock will getting an aftermarket muffler do that or no.

I find the MBRP muffler to have a little more tone than stock. This is a cat-back system.

I was thinking about doing this to my truck but everyone seems to be agaist it, with the statement of it not being anylouder. I would have thought it would be a little louder. Does anyone have a sound clip of a stock muffler delete. My buddy deleted his muffler in his (I hate to say this) Dodge and DAM is it loud. Is this becasue his truck is a in-line 6?
Thanks

You have to take the kitty out to get any noise out of an LBZ. I had a Corsa cat back system with there down pipe and it made obnoxious "air" noise when making boost, last week I replaced the muffler of the Corsa system with an MBRP muffler and it sounds ALOT better! It actually sounds somewhat like a V8 now and doesnt have the nasty "air" noise when making boost!
