2002 6.0, using 10w/30 Amsoil, the 25k oil. changing every 10k. Last change at 70k, analysis showed TBN # low. Amsoil dealer states that blow-by of piston is probably the cause of contaminates that is decreasing TBN #. This truck has "slapped" since around 7k at start up. I notice it is much more prevalent now with miles. Anyone else experienced this?

It was loud enough while under warranty that GM gave me in writing a 100k engine warranty to assure me that the slap wouldn't cause premature wear of engine components. Would love to keep this truck and put it to work (now wifes truck) but not sure about this slap versus engine wear?
