I installed a S&B air intake system on the truck today and noticed the turbo is higher pitched (assuming thats it) to where you can hear it even when decelerating.
Is this normal?
It's almost ear piercing the pitch is so high. The wife thinks its annoying but I think it sounds cool. Sort of worried a bit about having the dog in the truck b/c of the higher pitch.
I will recheck all connections in case it's caused by a "leak" at one of the tube connections.

Should be fine. It's normal to hear the turbo whine more with the increased airflow. Mine even got a little louder after modding the stock intake.

Thanks for the replies.
I replaced my "swiss cheese" stock air box b/c I was impressed by the S&B intake info. and test results. Other than that I would still have my stock box.
Can definitely tell a difference in accelerating and turbo noise.
