I was wondering since I now have this big chip on, if I should get an aftermarket intake system, or is my filter alone good enough?

No sence spending more money if its not necessary.

Necessary depends upon the temps you are seeing. Are ya gettin hot? What is your pyro reading? That will determine whether or not an intake is "necessary." An intake would help lower the temps and allow your engine to breathe better though.

1bad 01, you dont have to have an intake, a filter would probably do, but I am sure you will be happy with the SWEET wistle of the turbo and less turbo lag you get from an AFE stage 2.

Just the regular Afe will do you, I mean the stage 2, has the metal tube and metal trps heat, the intercooler will help, but there are no performance gains between the stage 1 and 2!!!!! When your truck starts to suck the filter minder in till it shows plugged with a clean stock filter its time for a bigger intake!!!!!

How much of a egt decrease can I expect with an AFE? I don't like seeing 1400-1500 degree readings. <-(WOT)
