Forgive me if this has been dicussed before.

I know that the consensus on the old (lly) intake air filter was that the OEM filter flowed and filtered better than aftermarket filters. How about the system on the LBZ? Would an aftermarket (i.e. K&N) filter be better? I read all the threads about how a K&N was not good for these engines because of oil getting on the MAF sensor. I can't say I agree because I ran one for about 100k on two previous DMaxes with zero problems so I am not really worried about that. I am just wanting to know if I can get any mpg gains by installing a K&N on the LBZ. I felt like it helped a little on the lb7 and the lly, just don't know about the LBZ.

Any thoughts?
