My new D/A is about to go in for the second time for not so cool air conditioning. Stopped for an appointment yesterday and the service rep. reaches in and feels the air coming out of the vent and says it feels ok to him. Does anyone know what the temp. at the vent should be ? How do you check it...fan setting?...Cab doors/windows open or closed?

Check with A/C on max and fan on high.

GMCSID,

Has that new TSB for the low temp fix come out yet?

It's not in Service Information yet and I haven't heard anything else about it. Maybe they put it on the back burner untill summer.

Thanks for the fast reply. Don't doubt the data but it says that a 100 degree day with some humidity all i'll get is 81 degree air, don't see how this could cool down a crew cab in the sun!!!

I talked to the service manager were I purchased my truck. He knows about there is supposed to be a TPB about the A/C. it has something to do with the accumulator. He is still wating for the TSB. You can check out the post on this subject Click Here GMCSID is the one that posted it. I know there is a bunch of us wating for this TSB to come out.

I'm also waiting on this one. Funny it came up as I was thinking of posting the same question. Kind of hoping it's out by the time I take my truck in for inspection in April.

I'll watch the threads for more on this TSB. It,s starting to get pretty warm down here in southern Florida. GM needs to get their act together, after all these trucks have been out for four years!
