The dealer that I got my truck from offered an interesting twist to the extended warranty program. Here in the Atlanta area we have a pretty good talk show consumer advocate, Clarke Howard, who has very little good to say about extended warranties so this dealer came up with an idea to overcome the stigma that is associated with them. This dealer thought the buyers of these sophisticated trucks needed the added protection with all the electronics, etc., so they actually put it in writing that if you do not use the extended warranty during the extended period they will refund the entire premium!! In total!! That seemed good to me and this dealer has an excellent reputation so I went for it!!
