I've got 2300 miles on my new 07 Classic CC. I've got a noise that I have noticed at both warm up and also while parked when the engine is at temperature.

I first noticed a "k-chunk" or "chunk" sound. It sounds to be coming from the passenger side of the engine compartment. When I first heard it, I thought someone was closing a door o a building about 30-40 yrads away.....the thump or k-chunk. I then realized that the sound was repeating itself literally every 30 seconds.

I then totally shut off the air unit at the dash. I was able to duplicate the k-chunk sound when I turned the air unit back on. It happened as soon as I turned it on. Is this a pressure slam inside the compressor lines? Is this normal and okay?

I can't make any correlation to outside temperatures or how hard the air unit is working.

Any ideas??????

several trucks are doing that. maybe bring it to the dealer to make sure the system is full and not overfilled or has any air in it. i will be bringing mine in as soon as i get back to NC. right now I don't need the AC. my lly made the same noises when it was overfilled.
