Put them on awhile ago, What do y'all think?
Bought 'em off of flebay and modded the mirror mount holes on the doors.
I still have to wire the power funtions up and I plan to add LED lights to the front facing side. I saw somebody here had done that but can't find the thread so I'll just wing it.

They are for the 99-06 trucks, and several people said they would NOT work. The only option they do not have is the turn sig in the lens. I already have the heat option working.

Thanks for the compliment by the way.

Do A DIY write-up! I wanted to do that exact same thing! What tools did you use? How long did it take? Geez, this has gotten me all excited!

If you don't mind me asking ,how much did you have to give for them? I've been looking at the piaa mirrors but don't want to cough up over $350 without even seeing them first.I was allways wondering if the new factory mirrors could be made to fit. Good job, now you've got my wheels turnin to find some. Barry

Oops!

OK fellas, I did a major boo boo and did not do the pic documentation for the knowledge of others(sorry) I was tooexcited myself to get the mirrors on and did not even think of that. However, The way I did it was not too complicated. It gave me some fits on getting them placed just right and if not for the vent shades it would not look so good. I ended up elongating all 3 holes in different directions with a dremmel and rotary file. and had to trim the part off of the ventshades that sticks to the mirror base. there ends up being a small gap between the base and the door at the bottom of the mirror. I will go out and try for better pics to show all. But if any body else (I am sure lots of you) does this mod All I can say is be careful with the hole alignments. It took me about 6 hours to get everything where I would tolerate the "imperfections". More pics to come!

I usually see those particular styles go for $400 on eBay.

I believe I got em for less than $300 ($280-290?), Bought them about 3 month ago and don't remember cuz I have spent money on so much stuff that it is all blurring together.

pics of the gap at the bottom

I also had to notch the plastic to go around the lower window seal, and I did the leveling mod for them.

)

Or they would have at least come out with one to fit 98 and earlier trucks.

I've been looking around for a while for mirrors like that. I hate the current ones, there to small and look bad. Its great to see that they are around, and even better to know someone pulled it off to get them mounted! great job! By any chance did you see a second pair?

Sweeeeeeet!!! :D:D:D Nice job.

Not 100% the same, but 100% better then the old ones. I like how you too the time to level everything off, made a lot of difference

How about this? To get a more factory "fit n' finish" get some black silicone to fill gaps, mask off the area, then wet your finger and smooth it down after you apply it. if you don't like it, you can always just peal it off once it dries.

It's a trick we use at work all the time for filling gaps. Gotta love silicone.

silicone makes steel rust, urethane should be used
