My DD gave up the ghost the other day. Ive looked at a bunch of trucks and have limted down to 2 . A 93 2500 4x4 with a 6.5 227,000 miles on it . Or a 89 2500 4x4 6.2 turbo rebuilt 30,000 miles ago along with the tranny. Both have the same asking price. What do yall think ? I like the 93 as far as looks and options but the 89 seems to be the better buy.

I vote the '88!

The 6.2 has been rebuilt, the 6.5 WILL need to be rebuilt in the other truck soon.

The only real differences between the 88 and 93 will the gauges.

The 88 will use the "slide" gauges that were never anywhere close to accurate. The 92 gauges are the typical needle type, and are quite nice. I wonder if a person could swap instrument clusters pretty easily?
