Hi guys,
What is the recommended exhaust diameter for a N.A 6.2L? What would you guys recommended for a muffler?
Thanks, David

2.25 inches per bank if I remember correctly.

Muffler? Whats that?

2.25" is the stock size. Bigger pipes are certainly permissible.

As far as mufflers go, use your best judgement... I don't recommend straight pipes... They are very, very loud on one of these engines.

ok, I'll come clean, I have a glass pack...and a turbo.

Yep, the turbo quiets things down quite a bit. Running a turboed engine with straight pipes won't deafen everybody within a three mile radius... Running an NA engine with straight pipes will. :)

i know im gonna catch alot of flak for this but im runnin a single 4" straight pipe on my 6.2, and it sounds awsome and seems to have the same if not more power than the stock duals

As far as cost vs performance goes most seem to recommend 2.5". That's dual exhaust since nobodys mentioned it;) 3" for single.

Size matters?

I'll agree with the dual 2.5''. we built quite a few duals with turbo mufflers on these & all of the owners say they noticed power improvement. If the ex shop has the abuility you can swage 2.5'' down to 2'' for the first 2 inches of the pipe to make the factory flanges work & doesn't seem to hurt anything. If you're motivated you can do a little grinding on the factory flanges to make them accept 2.25 for the first 2 inches.

turbo muffler just lets more air through. makes a little more noise but I think sounds better. If you're piecing one together go ahead and use stock ones if you get em cheap enough. As long as the diameter stays the same all the way down ( don't do somethin like put a reducer to bring your 2-1/2" down to a 2" for a muffler then back up)

Just weld good and make sure there is no holes ( makes funny noises) and your good to go.
