Its gonna look funny. I have a couple buddies with 35-12.50-20's and theres even look like the tires could be a little bigger with a 6" lift

Would look small I would think. My tires are 33 inches tall and I've got drop shackles and the torsion bars let down some.
what lift? if you get a 4-6" lift, set it at 4 till the tires need to be replaced, then up it if you want 35's
That is basically what I have, and I think they are way too small. They were on it when I bought it, so they will stay till they wear out. 6" superlift with 305/70/16

If those tires had more aggressive tread on them I doubt they would look that much too small. ANytime a smooth sidewall tire like that is one of our trucks they seem out of place imo.
It will look funny. I'm running 34.5" tall tires on a 2" drop. No lift, big tires is the cool thing to do. Big lifts haven't been cool since the the 2nd Bush was President.
carter what year is your truck? got any pics of the drop with 34s. i would love to lower my 04 and run 33s

My last truck had a RCS 6" with 20X12's and 33's. Also had a set of 22X11 with a 33. People above say it will look funny, it's all a matter of opinion.

20X12 and 33X12.50:

X2, I run 35's with no lift. I would suggest 37's but that's just IMHO.

That truck would be drop dead gorgeous with the proper size tires that would fill the wheel wells. In my opinion, it looks like there was a great deal of money spent on the lift and wheels and then the funds ran out and they couldn't afford the correct size tire and had to buy a smaller size...

Anyway, here are some pics. My 07 LBZ with 2" drop and (274/65/20) 34.5" tall tires. Also, my old 02 LB7 with approx. 4" drop and (305/55/20) 33.2" tall tires.

carter what all did you do to the truck other than cut the bumper with it that low? thats the look i want!!!
Mistyped on the tire size, it's 275/65/20.

They will clear just fine on the rear. On the front, you will need to pull the fender liner and locate the tab on the inner fender nearest the cab (will just be a crimp weld looking deal that comes out of the inner fender about 3 inches). That tab needs to be cut off on the front inner fender on both sides...sawzall or cut off wheel works fine. That is where most rubbing comes from when guys stuff bigger tires. Be careful when trimming off the tab on the driver side, the emergency brake line runs right past it. Once that is removed used self tappers/zip ties/bailing wire etc. to tie back that fender liner as tight to the inner fender as possible (again, the driver side will be the toughest. You will need to tie back that emergency brake line as tight as you can or it will push on the fender liner and tires will rub). Depending on what size tire you want that is about all that needs done. If you want something bigger than a 33" then you will need to address the plastic front valance, front bumper and trim some of the inner fender liner.

thats 305/70/16 on stock rims with a zone 6 inch lift ( almost 7 inch) I tried 35 and they were a tad to small... I now run 37 with no rubbing so.... Im planning 38/15.5 for the next set... :)
