My truck has 250,000 miles on it and has had nothing more than routine maintenance. it has had new glow plugs, oil changes, injectors, and pmds. what maintenance should i do to the truck. i have been thinking about the timing chain, injector pump and maybe a set of heads. any input would be appreciated. the truck still runs great, but it lacks power.

Yes, definitely timing chainset, Inj Pump, but not heads - pull the heads for inspection, replace the headgaskets if ok, replace the rocker-arm nylon buttons, front seal, waterpump, check the harmonic balancer and acc drive pulley for deterioration.

Timing chainset will restore much lost power by restoring correct crank\cam timing relationship, and IP timing, by association - IP timing is directly related to camshaft timing.

IP is a given, at 250kmi.
