I find it hard to believe gm will go strictly electric. That will eliminate a good portion of its customer base.
Manufacturers & consumers are not driving the market toward electric. GM and other manufacturers are not promising to go all electric by 20xx because that's what they think people want. They are doing those things because various government regulatory bodies both inside and outside the US are planning to force electrification on everyone, no matter what, like it or not, over the next couple of decades.

Electric cars may seem expensive until the governments forcibly eliminate all the cheaper alternatives. Along the same lines as "What did socialists use for light before candles? Electricity".

GM already cares very little about the vans and it would not surprise me if they just went with the electric one. Especially if they get some big orders from like UPS, FedEx, USPS, etc. I do not see them building 2 totally new vans. If they do happen to build a new one for gas/diesel it will more than likely be a uni-body with a small screaming engine.

You also did not say it was a small issue. Instead of posting a lousy Yahoo article how about we inform people who might be concerned of the easy fix they could do in their driveway.

I thought this was some crazy info according to Ford. 74 miles in a full day is average in the USA ? I can drive 74 miles one way and still be no where.
That should change with the arrival of the 2022 Ford E-Transit, which Ford says will have a range of 126 miles, 33% more than the 74-mile average daily range for commercial vans in the U.S. The company builds the van at its Kansas City Assembly plant.
