We have bought a 2019 it has 20,000 miles on it and I am not sure what oil was ran in the truck before we bought it.

Is 20,000 miles to many miles to start using Synthetic oil?

I’ll probably never put over 8000 miles a year on the truck anyway so I might be wasting my money on synthetic oil because of the low amount of miles a year anyway.

Please give me some input and your thoughts.

Will the synthetic be much better than regular oil since I don’t drive the truck much?

I’ll be changing oil during a year anyway. I live in Florida also.

Synthetic is formulated better than Traditional Dino oil.

Check out the Bobistheoilguy.com website for all the technical info on synthetic oils and more..

From what I understand… If your truck is sitting more synthetic will be better as it sticks and coats the components longer than conventional oil.

-Allison currently has 13 oils approved to the TES-295 spec.

There are several specs at the site.
TES-295 is the one for these trucks
