I remember having this fantasy about 2 years ago, but I couldn't justify time building it. I still have this photoshop mockup as proof of concept:

I went through tons of GM Upfitter documents to get all the measurements approximately correct bed, axle to cab, etc. This is using a 177" wheelbase.

Artem,
The bed looks to be scaled too large in your photoshop pic. my bed looks smaller in height, and length. many people ask if it is a short bed because of the comparison with the tall cab.

OregonNovaGuy,
All Kodiak threads are of interest.
The communist state of california with its kim jong un leadership, epa, and carb have decided that all kodiaks (any gvwr 14,000+, 2009-) will be illegal here unless you replace the engine with a 2010+ newer along with updated smog equip. Pay to play.
So, i am building a Fauxdiak... my own comprimise.
So many talented people post here. keeps me entertained endlessly, and inspired.

Not a politics thread, but as a service member and an american i have a duty to oppose all enemies of the constitution... and tyranny does not amuse me.

NP273F Wiring
6 Pin Color Circuit
1 OG/WH MP2 D
2 OG Power
3 BN/WH MP3 B
4 BK/PK Gnd
5 VT/YE MP5 A
6 WH MP4 C

2 Pin Color Circuit
1 YE Low to High
2 OG High to Low

So i test and get this
A B C D
2H O O C O
4H C O C O
N O O O C
4L C C O O

A=4
B=L
C=H
D=N

So i can wire a up down switch with some LED's, lockouts, and some relays

↑ 2 ○ H ○
− N ○
↓ 4 ○ L ○

and have a standalone Manual electric shift with the:

273 Pin 5 Circuit A going to ECM C1 Pin82 for 4x indicator
273 Pin 3 Circuit B going to ECM C1 Pin57 for low indicator

thoughts anyone?

Cab back came from the Kodiak?
I see you had to borrow the body glass for the left side from the the side doors. Wish there was a way to make it a nice one-piece glass...
I hope you don't have neighbor issues with such a big project vehicle.

Lots of other pins common, that is low range / 4 wheel in all others with this ecu. Maybe they left some programming in like with the turbo brake... Wont hurt. Maybe low range will show low speed on speedo with a flash.

The Ure: Are you going to install a pickup bed, or flat bed. If a pickup bed, are you going to lengthen the frame? Doesn't look like a dually bed will fit unless you lengthen the frame, or do some creative body work. Looking good so far.
