Has anybody done this? I have the box and filter and am looking for suggestions on piping and MAF mounting at the correct diameter.

I have a 06 air box on my lb7 i used the pipe from a lly and modified it i move the maf sensor in the lly pipe. I have pulled a 1/2 ton pickup over parleys canyon and the exh only got to 1200. Im going south in 2 weeks pulling a enclosed loaded trailer, will know more later about mileage and power, also will try to down load pictures.

Thought I read if you installed the 2006 air box on a LLY, GM could reflash the MAF. Not sure if this is an issue with the LB7.
I've been thinking about this mod too.

Do you by chance have a parts number for an LLY pipe, or suggestions on how to get one? My work schedule doesn't allow a lot of time to shop around. Pictures and any other tips would be very helpful.

Thanks a lot

If you leave the maf in the 06 box you will get codes and gm doesnt have a reflash for this. That is why i moved it into the lly pipe.and plugged the hole in the box. as for the part # maybe somebody who has installed a cai on a lly has a old pipe, You will have to cut and modify the pipe to make work. My truck aint here right now so i cant get pictures, but i will

Thanks.
I knew about the maf location, but was looking at options for an intake tube and couplers. There is nothing better than getting information from someone who has done it. Look forward to your pictures and any other tips that you may have when you get time.

Hell, do it when you can; no big rush. You've already saved me a lot of time. I was able to track down an LLY pipe at the dealers today and the parts person printed out a picture of the 2006 air box. Looks like I need the bottom bracket as well as a grommet or two, but I'm getting there with everyone's help.

Thanks
