Hello,

My TrailBlazer is developing a very bad case of condensation on all windows(inside). It appears to get worse when the heater is on(any mode or temperature).

The condensation is so bad that it is forming drops and dripping down the window. Even cracking the windows does not help. Nothing I do seems to be correction the problem.

I am going to put a dehumidifier in the truck overnight to see if that helps at all.

Background:

I live in Upstate NY.

I believe I have ruled out a heater core as the smell of anti-freeze is not present and the coolant level is not low.

I could not find and leak on the carpet, using paper towels. The carpet has not been removed (yet!!)

Just wondering if someone has experienced this with this vehicle.

I am thinking that air ducts are collecting water somehow/somewhere?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ryan

Air conditioning has quit. Defrost usually kicks in A/C to dehumidify air. Dry air =no condensation.

I had two full size with the same type of condensation problem. One had water entry due to a plugged drain hole below the wiper cowl where fresh air is drawn in and the other was missing seam sealer inside the right rear wheelhouse. If yours is like a fullsize, pull up the tread plates a each door opening and roll back the carpet, in an attempt to pick where to start.
On a side note, the wife got her oil changed at a Valvoline and apparently the the oil monkey didn't wanna get wet, so he plugged the drain tube from the evaporator assy. Only took a two hour trip before the bottom of the ducts filled with water and soaked the floor.

I did not think to test the AC. I will test the AC and pull back the sill plates.

Thanks for the information,
