I actually heard from a dealership in St. Joseph MO that they were considering it right now. They did not say how long it might be till they decide. I personally think that they should. We have had 3 trucks in here that needed the injectors

It costs about $3,200 to have all of the injectors and lines replaced. Normally there isn't a problem, but I have heard that GM has had problems with quality control when they are rebuilt. I think that this is due to the large number of people requesting the new injectors. Puts supply and demand in a bind....

My sources at Dmax indicate No, they will not be including the '04 model year trucks. I am not involved with them enough for them to give me a reason, but I do know that this has been one EXPENSIVE TSB for GM/Bosch/Dmax.

Good luck.

I can not see how GM could justify not extending the warranty. The LB7 injectors are the same for all years. If they do not extend the warranty, I believe they are setting themselves up for a class action suit.

No wonder Toyota is eating GM's lunch.

Sign me up.

Spent $4800 a couple weeks ago to replace mine at 117k.
The dealer here (CA) said that if it was a California emissions vehicle the additional (200k) warranty would have covered it, but it does not include federal emissions vehicles (bought my truck in Texas)

When I asked GM back East what was different about the injectors in the California vehicles they didn't have an answer for me, only said that '04 was covered to 100k.

Well if the class action gets started this is the place to do it. We paid too much for these trucks to be left on the side of the road. If GM doesnt extend the warranty to include the 2004's im in on a class action.

You usually have to have damages (proveable) to be included in the suit.

Anybody see this post that includes the 04 trucks in the diagnostic service bulletin?

I looked up the Special Policy Injectors 04039 tsb and it still only goes to 03 from what I see...

Interesting and looks to be good ammunition to argue the point if you have an 04 with problems...

they gota cover them, if the motor has not changed at all then what makes an 04 b7 any diffrent than an 01-03. as for the tsb, they write them all off as a lose anyway. If they dont cover it then they will be getting sued. we payed good money for these trucks, I just feel that gm has not found a fix for the lb7 so they went with a new motor and just washed their hands of it.
I wounder if you could swap heads?

Good ol GM they love to take your money!!!

What's so hard about STEPPING UP and saying, we're sorry we made a s**t product, but we're gonna make it right with you guys!

Why should you 04 lb7 owners have to wait!! It's ridiculous!!

My injectors went on my 03, b
ut if GM didnt extend my warranty, I was definitely gonna sell it at 100k.

04 122321 miles and injectors failed. GM is covering now.

i am from Bham, al and running a job in Vegas. My 04 gmc duramax started smoking last year when i had about 93000 miles on it. I was working in college park, md at the time and took it to CAPITOL GMC and they couldnt figure a damn thing out on 2 diff occassions. I feel like they ****ed me around because they didnt want to have to do the work. When i took it back a 3rd time after 100000 miles they told me they still couldnt figure it out, they said i wasnt covered even it were the injectors causing the smoke like i said from day 1.

fast forward 1 year to sat the 28th of april 2007. i am headed home from the job site to hook to my trailer to move to another rv park when the truck just shuts down and wont crank. I then pump the primer and get it running and it dies a mile later again. Long story short it is at a dealer and they say i am covered under the 200000 warranty even though it is an 04. they looked at me like i was crazy when i told them i thought wasnt covered. i told them about the dealership in MD and they said i should file a complaint because the warranty had been extended last year.

In any event they say the 2004 LB7 INJECTORS ARE UNDER THE 200000 WARRANTY. tHANK GOD, if they hadnt done it i would have hauled it to the ford dealer and bought a new ford as bad as i would hate to. I plan on buying a new 3500 single wheel 4wd crew long bed loaded out, but i will not spend 50000 on a gmc again if this truck is not completely fixed for free.
