My cab fan is starting to make a noise that is just getting worse. I was wondering, what is the proceedure to get to the blower motor?

I have not replaced mine, but from being under there doing the filter kits, I would think its this way:

1) Lower the silencer cover (if so equipped) above the passenger footwell area. I dont recommend removing it completely...just take out the two screws above the pass footwell. The cover bends, so you can get at the fan.

2) You'll see the fan on the underside of the HVAC unit behind the glovebox area. Unplug it from the fan control module and remove the screws holding it in.

I do not know if a new motor comes with a squirrel cage or not. Install reverse of removal.

When my windshield broke, I had to get the glass out of the squirrel cage. IIRC, the motor had a tab and twist-lock, no screws.

Other requirements are to be double jointed, short, skinny and have the ability to work upside down for long periods of time.
