I need professional help to diagnose loss power on a 2002 F250 7.3. Heard a pop in the engine compartment after doing 100,000 general maintenance, almost like a backfire in a gas engine. After that loss of power, especially uphill, takes several minutes to get to top speed of 55. . I live around Dayton, Ohio if anyone knows where I could take it to have it scanned. Thanks

Your description is not much to go on. Any other symptoms? Excessive Black or white smoke? Boost pressure? Check Engine Light?
You can get it scanned at most any auto parts store for free.

I was told that the Ford 7.3 required a special scanner, no black or grey smoke, no ck eng lights. Revs fine in neutral , but driving might take 15 minutes to get to 50 mph. Don't know where to take to have scanned.
