Hello all.

I am rebuilding my 250000 mile truck and currently at the rear axle. The backing plates have a rust hole in them, not the slack adj holes. I'd like to replace them. This truck is the 10000 gvw so 13" x 3.5" rear shoes. The part number is 15622344. However it is unavailable and my search of used on salvage yards and eBay has come up empty. I believe 1995 to 2000 fit. Does anybody have any available or know what we do? It's hard to believe nobody has them. Thanks so much for any help.

Have you tried looking on the car-part.com site for a possible source?
You can also try stopping by your local auto parts store and see if they carry it under the Dorman brand

From my understanding Dorman does not make them. Local stores have nothing. Salvage yard site shows a few 1500 which are different. But thank you.

If you're buying, absolutely. From my wallet, no way. She's just a work truck with 250k hard miles and stops just fine.

You must be seeing something I can't. All the listings on car-parts.com are for half and 3/4 ton... This is a one ton dually Dana 80...

I know that this is going to sound like a really overly simple/stupid fix. Why not break out the welder, make yourself a patch if needed, and repair the holes.
