Have a couple of questions, when I push the recirculation button to turn it on with my AC set to Auto and 75 degrees in the cold AM here in Tucson, the recirculation button light flashes a few times then goes off, Is this normal operation? What am I doing wrong?

I am getting a weard thump noise under the dash (about every 15 seconds) I think its associated with the HVAC system?
Is this noise normal?
Its real noticable when parked at idle.

Your second question sounds like a blend door closing. Although it shouldn't be opening and closing that often I don't think. But that my guess, hope it helps.
