The thought that this would be a reasonable topic for discussion 12 months ago would be comical.

Not true today. Even the Dodge guys are taking serious notice. The Duramax is coming of age in a big way. No longer is it assumed the only way to make big power in a Dmax is with drugs.

What I would like to see is work done on "survivability" of stock internals at 700rwhp. I'm not convinced it's an impossible goal. It's one reason I'm not ready to tune Casper up more right now.

800 has already happened,(by a couple trucks). As for this weekend, if Keith decides to beat on the new motor a bit, he definitely has the airflow advantage.

Clint Cannon has done well over 800. According to the guys at forced Inductions there is a guy in Iowa who has a GT45 hybrid that has done right at 900 and 1600 lb./ft.

I'm sure if Kyle posted the dyno #'s on Climax it would be over the 800 mark as well. You don't run with the top SS pullers without making big power.

Nasty Girl should be running by the end of the day. We will have a few days for tweakin and testing before the end of the week. The Merchant team has been nothing but "Incredible" with the time frame we had. We expect to turn the disbelievers into believers this weekend. And HP #'s? Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Gosh dangit I'm gonna have to go to the DYno day. Nothing like driving 3.5hrs just to watch.

I know another DMax thats supposed to go to this Dyno day (the one in IN this weekend) and is expecting to do 800rwhp+. Its an LB7 too.


I'm with others, I think 800 has already been broken by others. But public on these forums, I'd say Nasty will be the first. There certainly seem to be some more coming up in '07 that will also go 800+ so thats even better.
