Hello again fellas

1998 GMC 2500 6.5L Turbo

Fuel pressure on the MaxTow gauge began reading very low today
1-2 psi; and upon acceleration it would hit 0 psi for an instant.
Normal pressure has been 3-6 psi

The gauge sending unit is fitted to the bleeder screw atop the the fuel filter
There are no signs of fuel leaking at the fitting

Driving conditions were a mix of local traffic and highway speeds.
Ambient temperature in the mid 80's
3/4 tank of fuel
No other issues
The truck is running smoothly, accelerating well, normal operating temp

Is this a sign my lift pump is on the way out?

Thanks
Ed

When I ran out of fueI I replaced the fuel filter as part of the air bleeding process.
I did not replace (could not find one) the little basket type filter for the bottom of the FFM, but did bulb baster all the fuel out of it.
That was about 500 (+/-) miles ago
I have a spare filter & could replace it again. if needed

I once read a post about volume testing the lift pump, but cannot find it.
Any specs or tips appreciated.

Ed

Look in the 6.5 FAQ sticky at the top of the forum. Scroll down to Lift pump. Info you need is there.
