Hello All,

I have a 1983 Chevy C10 6.2 Auto Silverado that I am restoring. I have had it for about 6 months and as the days go on I notice more and more fluid on my floor mat. The brakes do not go soft so it must be part of the other system. One time you step on the brakes and they are normal the next they put you into the dash.
I am new to this and was looking for advise for testing, rebuilding or replacing.

Welcome to DieselPlace

When you mention fluid on your floor mat do you mean brake fluid or some other fluid?

Look where brake pedal rod goes through the firewall, under the dash board. If fluid is coming from there, a)you're probably low on power steering oil, and 2) your hydrobooster is leaking.
It'll need resealed or replaced.
