Can anyone explain to me the difference between 1056 and 1057 torque coverter? Im pretty sure i'll be buying a built stage V and i need a converter to go along with it.

I expect my truck to be putting out around 600 RWHP in the very near future and possibly more,, later on. My truck is a daily driver and it will be drag racing with maybe the occasional sled pull (i was at a sled pull last weekend and there was no GM presence - i didn't like that).

As i understand it the 1057 will give a snappier shift but stall out the engine at a higher speed when locked, is this correct? I'm not worried about the 200 dollar price difference i just want the most suitable product for my needs.

1057 couples a little more aggressivly. It seems to be a little looser down low, but the rate at which is "stalls up" is really fast.

All triple disc converters feel the same once locked. The only difference between all of them is unlocked feel
