Hi guys, complete noob here, just got this rig and a big trailer to go with it and I don't like the look of the hitch mounting setup on it. its a 2wd Monroe bed with the airbag rear end. It has what looks like a 5th wheel mount with a goose adapter on the bed surface with long spacers to the thick plate 3-4" under the bed. The plate looks to be bending in the middle. What's the right way to do a goose on these trucks?

TIA!

I put the B&W hitch in mine and it has worked great. That being said my buddy uses the adapter plate in his with no problems but he also does not overload it.

Mine is actually a hauler bed so it would be different from yours. How heavy is the trailer you are using? A few company's make the gooseneck adapters for different weights so if the rails are still good you could just get a new gooseneck plate.
