Still chasing a now louder knock (knock thread: Question: - Engine noise - looking for opinions) in my 6.5 after new injectors and a lot of other stuff. It goes away when cylinder #8 injector is turned off, so I pulled the oil pan to check the bottom end.
Questions on rod bearing fit:
Alright, another lb7 injector question. I have a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500hd with the lb7 Duramax and 130,000 thousand miles, s&b cold air intake, bigger/louder exhaust, but stock fuel pump and filter set up.
My truck does have some sort of tuning:
setting one = stock
two = tow heavy
I'm having (hopefully) little issue knock coming from cylinder 1 or 3. It seems to get louder on higher rpm and temp has no effect.
I though that its injector but disconnecting the line doesn't effect the sound. Also shakes on idle. starts without issues.
Well of course it never ends. Fuel seems to be staying primed. But seem to have a knocking tapping clicking sound coming from the top covers now.
Could be injector, valves?
I’m leaning toward injector. Maybe that’s where that air was coming from the other day?
