How do I clear my browser's cache?

Firefox
Do both of these:
Tools > Clear Private Data
Tools > Options > Privacy > Cache > Clear Now
(Ctrl+Shift+Del also deletes your cache on Firefox.)

Firefox 2.0
# Select Tools > Options
# Open the Advanced panel and click the Network tab.
# Click the Clear Cache Button

Internet Explorer
Tools > Internet Options > General > Delete Cookies, Delete Files, Clear History

Safari
Safari > Empty Cache > Empty

AOL 9.0
Start > Internet Options (double click it) > Internet Properties > Delete

Netscape
Tools > Options > Privacy > Click "cache" > Clear Cache > Click Clear

After doing this it is recommended to restart your browser by closing it and then opening it again.

How can I change my username?

Send a private message to any senior staff member (Lead Moderator or Administrator) explaining your reason for wanting to change your username. Also include the new username that you'd like. A list of staff members can be found here.

Users build a reputation based on a username so we review each request individually. We reserve the right to deny any request to change a username based on past conduct or post count. Please also note that having multiple usernames is a violation of the site rules and grounds for permanent ban of all usernames.

Can I edit my own posts?

You can edit your posts for up to 30 minutes after the post was made. After 30 minutes only a staff member can edit a post. This is done to protect the integrity of the forum. Without a time limit users could delete or alter their comments at any time in the future which could disrupt the flow of information in a thread and ruin the information shared by other users.

To edit your post (during the 30 minute time limit), click the button within the post you want to edit. After you have made your modifications a note will appear notifying other users that you have edited your post.

If your 30 minute time limit has expired and your original post must be edited you will need to send a private message to a staff member with the following information: a direct link to the post, the reason for the edit, and a very specific description of the changes that need to be made. The staff member has the discretion to make the changes.

Lost Passwords

I forgot my password. What can I do?

If you forget your password, you can click on the 'Forgotten Your Password' link. This will appear on any page that requires you to fill in your password.

This link brings up a page where you should enter your registered email address. An email will be sent to that address shortly, with instructions for resetting your password.

Since passwords are encrypted, there is no way to resend your original password. This option provides you with the ability to reset your password.

You must be able to receive emails to your registered email address for this to work. You may need to check your spam filters and folder if you do not see this email in a few minutes.
