L5P: Power Steering Error Message

Has happened twice now on Below 0 days. I get a message to have Power Steering serviced from the DIC. First time I drove it about two miles, had power steering, but couldn't feel the road. Shut off and restarted all was good. Second time happened after driving 30 miles. Shut off, did errands, message appears. Shut down, restart and all is good. Anyone else experience this?

Yes on my 16 LML. Very cold days on first start up and then steering feels very light. I don't know the cause.

I retired from GM at 49 and 11 years ago. We built over 1 million pumps a year for every one.
Back in the early 70's we made a pump for trucks that had a (EVO) electric variable orface. We only built this pump for two years only because the feedback from owners that they didn't like the ability for a pinky steering at low speed.
I wonder if this is simular to what in the L5P
Back then there was noway to monitor this steering back then. With electronics advancement they must be ably now.
I wonder if there is a code for your power steering error message?

Had it in Monday, fluid was a little low they said and the steering sector box was leaking. Ordered a new steering sector box for it based on recommendation from GM. I had the same problem in my "16" except no error messages. It has to be a very slow leak as there is no visible sign of anything leaking on my garage floor. Guess when its replaced I'll know if it corrected the problem.
