remote lock receiver ?

2004.5 Silverado 2500hd, searched the net and can't get a answer, everyone has a different location! My fobs are good, the power locks work with the door switches,I went through the programming 10 times, tried a new fob. No dice, don't want to tear the whole truck apart ! Thanx

This is funny, I think I'm doomed lol. 2004.5 ecsb Silverado. Where is the receiver for the remote door locks located ? I've heard various door pillars ,the passenger door lock mechanism, behind the drivers side in an area next to rear seat, this seems to be an unsolvable mystery ! Thanx

Before you worry about finding that elusive box, check your left instrument panel fuse box to be sure the DSM and DDM fuses are not blown. Pull both out for 15 minutes or so, then replace.

Do this first.
As to locale, could it be here?

Thanx, ill check the fuses. If the fuses are bad will they affect just the remote? The door locks work fine with the armrest switches. Thanx for location, I'll check ,the only worry I have is if that's the schematic for my truck ! Thanx

The article I read said that the receiver needs to be 'reset' after the fuses are replaced. I know nothing more than that about the fuses, just that they must be good, which makes perfect sense.
