And here are a couple of the squeaky clean grease zerks (lower ball and tie rod).

Those photos were exactly how my truck looked when I took delivery of mine about a month ago.

A funny. I worked on a company's newer service vehicle. It was a lube service truck with 15,000 miles on it. Ball joints were shot. They never once serviced the service truck with grease. The truck had tons of grease products on it though.

Yeah. I greased the 6 easy ones the other day just to get them done. I haven't hit the pitman and idler yet as I was waiting on a 90* fitting

I also think I may have put one pump too much in one of the lower ball joints. They are still squishy and didn't start oozing grease anywhere, but I heard a slight "crackle" noise at the end of the last stroke . I've driven it about 100 miles since then with no sign of any grease coming out of them, so I think it'll be fine, but will be more careful in the future.

The tie rod boots appear to have a relief valve. I didn't put much in them, but noticed a tad bit of the old grease oozing out through a couple openings in a plastic ring around the bottom of them.

Yep, my 14' looked just like those. Never had any grease until I lubed them!

I just took delivery of my '18, LTZ 3500 SRW Z71 last week. First thing I did was put it up on the rack and have my guys grease the 9 fittings. They were pretty much dry from the factory/dealer.

Can you imagine all that $ GM is saving by never putting 1 drop of grease in any GM grease fitting not to mention the cleanup they don't have cause of residual grease around the assembly plants!!!!

Don't forget the extra money they earn from you having to replace the parts earlier than if they were properly lubed.

On a different note...what grease are y'all using? I am looking to switch to something I can use on my truck and camper wet suspension bolts. I am hoping to consolidate and clean up my grease gun collection. I was looking at this...
