PIT5501F: Steering Feels Loose / Excessive Lash / Fluid Leak At Lash Adjuster 2016

Does PIT5501F resolve the problems folks have had with leaking steering boxes and loose steering. Ironically, my steering has been loose since my last visit to the dealer. It literally started when I drove away from picking up the truck following warranty repair of an unrelated issue (frame coating peeling and rust) at Tracy Chevrolet in Plymouth, MA.

The truck has 16K miles on it.

Today, I had a MA Vehicle Inspection performed at my trusted local private repair shop. I asked if they'd look at the steering and alignment and was informed the steering box is leaking.

From what I've read at the links copied below this is relatively common problem.

Has the issue been sorted and are folks seeing the remedy described in PIT5501F as resolving the problem long term?

The issue is on 2016 trucks with the Active Hydraulic Assist (AHA) which is the NV8 RPO code. My understanding of the issue is the lash adjustment screw is coming loose and putting more lash into the system. I would recommend taking in and getting the service bulletin completed.
