Hot Brakes!

Just had rear brake shoes and rotors replaced and now they smell like they are burning and the drivers side is much hotter than the passenger side. Guessing itís dragging. Whatís the next step? Thanks

take the calipers off
clean out the caliper pin slide holes and caliper pins
squeeze in the caliper pistons, then make sure the inside pad can easily slide in it's groove (wirebrush/file off rust from the slots to enable it to slide as necessary)

put new brake caliper grease (NOT CHASSIS GREASE) in the slide holes, then install new boots for the holes (it's easier to put new grease in before installing the boots)
reinstall caliper and make sure it can slide on the pins
remove caliper and reinstall with pads
drive around and see if it's better now

Davester, thanks for the in depth reply! I’ll knock it out tomorrow and post results

Oh, you might also want to put on spreader clips, they might help as well.

Got to tearing into it and found the E brake was set too tight and dragging. I adjusted them and will drive to see if that was the issue.
