4x4.......

So today I was hooking up my trailer to move my bobcat and I had to go through a field to get out on the road I put it in 4x4 to get through the field. Long story short I forgot to put it back in 2wd and drove around 70 miles loaded with about a 16k lbs trailer down the interstate. I didnít notice it was in 4wd until I got back to my house. I know I passed a few vehicles on the interstate and got the truck around 85 Mph. Should I be worried I messed any thing up? Truck is a 2018 GMC Denali 2500HD duramax. TIA

I once accidentally left my truck in 4x4 for 500 miles before I noticed on a road trip. The transfer case on these trucks is extremely strong, and you won't hurt anything. It will wear your tires quicker though, and reduce fuel mileage.

As for speed, the computer won't let you switch in/out of 4x4 at high speeds (above 80 MPH I think?), but using 4x4 at high speeds is also fine. I've trapped 110 MPH in the quarter mile in 4x4 and my transfer case is just fine. Many people have gone much faster than that in 4x4 as well.

No limit for speed in 4 High.
But a bind on components when turning.
Shifting Into 4 High
Turn the knob to 4 High at any speed
up to 121 km/h (75 mph), except
from 4 Low. The indicator light will flash
while shifting and will remain on the selected setting.

4 Low
When engaged, keep vehicle speed
below 72 km/h (45 mph).
