Haha dmax3500 I hope it doesn’t take that long. I’ll have to make room for the next build shortly after Ironhide rolls away. Which is a crazier build (on a different level) than Ironhide.

I got two doors fully disassembled today, taken off, and started blocking on the rear door. I’ll block all the chips out, prime, block some more and some more and probably some more, and then do the same thing to the other three doors.

Ok I’m not going to post a picture everyday of the area on the door that I sanded or whatever area because I know that would get very old seeing. I just want you all to know that I will be sanding on this thing vigorously. When I come home for lunch. Sanding. When I get done with dinner. Sanding. But I will still be posting pictures of progress every couple of days. Thanks. Be patient. I appreciate you all.

So all doors are off. The front of 1 door has been relieved of all of its rock chips and low spots. No dents on this one. I still have to scuff the backside and window channel. I will prime everything together. Also there was a little S shaped buckle in the floor from a previous wreck. I had to work that out.

I’ve sanded all four doors outer panels. The right front door had been painted a second time due to being damaged from a previous wreck. And when I started sanding it I saw that the original paint was still shiny. So I started with 80 grit and sanded all of the second layer of paint off and finished in 180 grit. I used just 180 grit the other doors to just block the panels flat and get out the rock chips too. Only minor body filler was needed for two doors. I also cut out the windshield and back glass I was even able to get the front emblem and new airbag painted to match the rear emblem too.

The jamb on the passenger side is scuffed and ready. The back of the cab is scuffed but I still need to repair a good sized spot on the right side. Ill finish up the driver side and cowl area by the end of the weekend. I have a PDR buddy coming over to help me out on the roof some. So primer is coming soon.

I also think I’m going to change the side steps. They definitely have a bigger platform to stand on.

Hey everybody. I’ve been on another project this whole week and haven’t been able to spend any time on the truck. I had to put up a new fence at the house to hide everything and not have it look so “messy” from the road. The fence is done and school starts Monday, so we are taking a final weekend trip for the kids. With that being said, I’ll be back on the truck Monday.

And yes, the canopy roof caved in. Cheap junk.

Hey guys. I’m still at it. Just super busy everywhere. Anyways. The entire cab (floors, pillars, firewall, back wall, and roof) as well as the doors have all been sprayed with spectrum sound deadening. Very much like a bedliner just made for the interior of vehicles. Non toxic. Now to continue on with the primer which should be happening soon.
