AIR.. in the Fuel filter

OK... I thought I had it fixed BUT

The Kodiak has been sitting around awhile...
And now it has to be primed, if it sits more than 15 min.

So I replaced the fuel filter assembly with a GM 12642624 part, and new hoses and real clamps...

Nope, still have air.

Do I replace the lower hose from the frame to the engine?
(Don't know if GM still has them)

Replace the 1/2 metal line along the frame..
(Last year had the rear brake line had "rust leak")

Any thoughts..
Have you had your DONKEY kicked with the same problem??

I'm open...

Air in filter indicates a leak. Have you tried putting low air pressure on fuel tank. Then check for fuel leak. I believe it is done by putting a air hose fitting in a fuel tank cap.

No doubt, you have a vacuum leak somewhere between tank and fuel filter. Does a Kodiak have a lift pump? I suspect they don't. A lift pump would probably overcome the vacuum leak. But there would still be a leak somewhere that is really the problem; lift pump just covers up the problem - but at least your truck runs.

Update...
I replaced the fuel line from the front tank to the fuel filter, using AN-8 line.
The 1/2 inch metal line was not available.
Ordered 20 ft. of -8 line, only used 16.5 ft.
It took about an hour to drop the front tank, remove the pre-built line, and install down the frame rail. I used silicone anti chafe tubing (over the -8 line) around the stainless brake lines...
