New 4500

Just picked up a new work truck. 06 4500 monroe package. 33000k miles. Within 1st week of having it the bed is falling apart. So as of now a custom flatbed is being made. But more pics to come when done. Have a few basic things to get done but overall awesome truck so far.

Here's a quick pic of the new bed. Will have more later once I pick it up.

Trucks been running good but knew it could use a pick me up. Got a dsp5 from duramax tuner and it woke it up. Mpg and all around drivability is awesome.

Being an 06, have you enabled 6th gear yet? If you don't know what I'm talking about, do a quick search here.

I've read about it not sure I want to yet. Being as I like being able to drop from 5th to 4th and lock it there when towing. I think I will once I'm able to put in the newer style shifter so I can manually shift the tranny.

Some people’s fabrication skills amaze me. You have turned that truck into a real work horse. I would love to have all of that storage space. Thanks for the update on your truck, please keep them coming.

BTW - my 2007 truck is a six speed, and there is a switch on the dash that locks out the overdrive gears, so it limits the transmission’s rage to fourth gear. It sounds like you have that switch. I do not think that adding the sixth gear functionality would change how that switch operates.
