I have a copper (steel) radiator that is new. I used it for 1000 miles and took it out. It is for a 2007, but I had it direct fit in my 2006. The 2007 radiator is one cor thicker than the 06.

I have an 05 Kodiak C4500 with the LLY and am towing near 20,000 lbs. On hot days up long grades it wants to run hot. I just put in a trans cooler with fan and an engine oil cooler. I have been trying to find a larger capacity radiator or a company that makes all aluminum ones for this truck and have come up with nothing. I was told that the copper and brass radiators will not cool as well as the aluminum ones. Does any have some suggestions?

Copper is a way better conductor of heat and rejects heat better than aluminum. Problem is find someone that will build it. They use aluminum because its cheap.

I did put on a new fan clutch and that really helped a lot.

Here are links to my Radiator/Heating research and my Mods that I made to my truck. I today still could not be happier.
