Truck is about 9500 lbs the way it sits, 5th wheel 14000, tag trailer 3000, truck is a 2017 3500 and tows this combo like it isn't there. The L5P is a beast. I am usually right at the limit of the rear axle/tires though.

To the OP, there isn't much difference between the 2500 and 3500 trucks these days, mostly tires and rear spring pack and the stupid placard on the door sill.

Yeah I was blown away. I knew within first couple of miles that the trip would be a cinch. The GMC just seem to control the load way better than any of my past trucks. Not just in power but stopping ability, stout frame and suspension. The combination between the new PJ F8 trailer and truck seems a great fit too as I experienced very little bumping and beating of the load. Donít know why but sure was a nice experience.

Ok here are your pics. Just gotíer home and the truck / trailer combo performed fantastic once again. This load was a little heavier with total trailer plus tractor weight of around 14500-15000lbs. Over 300 mile trip through the mountains of TN and didnít even break a sweat. Total combine weight of around 22500-23000 lbs. with average fuel mileage of 9.6 mpg. Iím extremely happy with this new setup. Last picture is showing average fuel mileage and exhaust break doing its thing. The break pedal is hardly required anymore. Lol

From the pic it shows In tow-haul mode on an incline, would put it about right speed/rpm

Yep you are correct. Off throttle just using engine braking. Hardly ever touched the brake. Truly amazing. Speed limit is 55 with a 5% grade coming down Black Mountain North Carolina.

Hey thanks! Gives us all an idea of what you're towing. Looks good. Appears you've got the load balanced just right. These trucks are pretty amazing.
