Wiggle feeling with new tires while towing.

I am Pulling same trailer without sway control. New tires are 275/70/18 or 3/4” taller and Hankook ATM instead of Firestone tranforce HT. The tire shop says they will heat cycle in about 20 days and be sure footed like the Firestone’s were. The old tires were great at 60/80psi. The new tires are jello with 80psi front and rear. The old tire tread was 90% in front and 50% tread left in rear.

Is this how all tires are?
Are Cooper AT3’s the same way?
Is someone thinking I will get used to it in 20 days?

I don’t want to feel like I am on 4 low tires.

Have you re-checked that all the lug nuts are tightened down? They can back off after being torqued down.

My Cooper AT 3s felt a little...odd...for the first 100 miles or so. Not squishy but more like slightly unstable, but it quickly went away. Now with 10,000 miles on them, These are by far the best tires I’ve ever had.

Sure you had 10-ply LT tires installed?

The tires are E rated and 10ply tire. With just driving the truck they are fine, a bit rougher ride than the Firestone’s.The only time it feels scary bad is when pulling the 28’ toy hauler with trailer weight of 8-9k lbs. It was night and day difference from just getting new tires.

Hey, had to ask. We've had idiots come on here before who put P-rated tires on their trucks...

Maybe the moderator can move this to the towing section ??
I don't want to have duplicate threads.
