Anyone lowered L5p to tow level?

I currently have a 2004 Hitchhiker fifth-wheel that I'v put a lot of time and money into to make it the trailer that I plan on keeping till I'm to old to tow.
It pulls level with my 2006 Duramax.
I have measured the new L5p 2500HD and the 3500 HD and the height on both is about 3" taller than my current truck, that will make me nose high when towing.
Trailers axles are already under springs and trailer is already really tall, I don't want to raise the trailer.
Has anyone lowered the rear of a 2017+ 3500HD to tow level?
I know pretty anti redneck of me to lower rather than lift these cool trucks.
Thanks

what about a low profile hitch? They go as low as 9.5 inches off the bed.

Along these same lines, just want to be sure you have explored the possibility of adjusting your pinbox and your hitch. Probably did that before anything else. If so, I would look at adding drop shackles. Very inexpensive and not too difficult to do.

Bedrail height is 2" taller from 2007.5 on up, compared to your 2006.
Did you measure the tow height from the bed floor?

Hitch and pinbox are already set up at their lowest setup. I don't want to get a lower profile hitch because I would lose bed rail clearance.
Thanks

For my previous truck (LMM) and trailer ('02)I replaced OEM shackles with longer ones, dropping the rear end by about 2", just enough to make my fifth wheel ride almost level while not losing bed rail clearance. I'm thinking of doing the same for my L5P
