Uy2 fifth wheel harness

I have. 2016 gmc 3500, just found and wired this bundle of wires to a plug in the bed, but there's no power. I thought you no longer needed to add a fuse to these trucks. Just glanced the owners manual and didn't see anything. At the daughters game right now and will dig into the manual later.

Was the truck running when you checked?

If you have 12v in the 1 o'clock position in the bumper plug, your fuse is installed and functional.

Thanks guys. The trailer does work from the bumper plug, nothing at all works from the bed plug and yes the truck was running. I have not tested voltage from the bumper plug yet. The dealer said there is a fuse to add just for that harness, which doesn't make sence, I would assume it's tapped off from the bumper plug. Thanks again I will dig deeper tomorrow.

Figured this out last night. I will take part of the blame and call my self stupid, but Gm will take the other part of the blame. When I found my wires I did not lower my spare tire, I just reached up felt for the end of the wires, pulled them out and routed them to where I needed them to be, on the ends of the wires was the wring color codes and a sticker saying to disconnect the battery before connecting, which I did not do I just cut each wire individually and connected and all the wires. I also felt up above the spare tire where the wires came from and felt the connector the wires went into and it felt good. I finally dropped the spare tire, well this is a y harness with a plug on two ends and then the blunt wires on the other end, Gm just plugs the harness to its self. So you just have to unplug the wires at the bumper plug and plug that into one end of the harness and the other end of the harness plugs into the bumper plug and its magic you have power. Not sure why they don't make that connection already at the factory is beyond me. Guess I should have dropped the spare tire in the first place. Thanks for all the replies.
