Tandem towing/boat behind 5th wheel

Hey fellas,

Don't own a boat at this time, but I want to get my options straight if/when the times comes.
I'm in CA, aware that I need a commercial drivers license to tow behind my 5th. Aware that in CA, the max length is 65ft.
My problem with our current setup is, although I have the shortest possible truck to tow the load (CCSB), with our 31 ft 5th, I'm roughly 47 ft before anything's behind the 5th. Any boat I'd ever want wouldn't be shorter than 21 feet (and add another 2-3 feet of tongue length on trailer).
Sooo, does anyone know how much the ticket would be if a cop pulled me over and noticed I was 70 feet end to end and over the 65 ft limit?
What should I expect? Just a ticket and I'm on my way, or would they force me to drop the boat on the side of the highway?

Gasuout, I know you tow 70 ft+ with your Kodiak and flatbed, what's your experience. I can't find any info anywhere on what the downside would be.
Any and all stories, pics of tandem rigs, and advice would be appreciated.

Thanks!
-Luke
