Injectors.......

Since the weather is getting warmer I switched coolant temp with fuel temp on the CTS. Today I hit 150* while cruising light at 72 mph in 70's aat. So it looks like the injectors are starting to return some extra fuel. Might as well run them till I start popping 87's then figure something out. Balance rates were good and also had a 24 mpg day.

yeah, hard to justify the work if your performance/economy is still strong...gives you some time to prepare for it mentally and financially!

With the condition your van is in, itís still worth putting them in. Mines rusting away like the titanic

I could throw $10,000 at it and still be ahead of buying a new GM.

I live in Montana where everywhere is uphill both ways in a blizzard bucking 50 mph winds at -20* while watching for lions, tigers, bears, bison, chubby girls from Winifred, elk, cows, moose and the highway patrol.

A full set of good injectors is going to run $2500. Fuel temp is monitored by the ECM you just need something like the Edge CTS2 to see it, 150dg is pretty high(but I'd continue to run it until it adversely impacted performance), normally when I'm warmed up on a warm day cruising I'm at 110-115dg-ish.

The "chubby girls" are definitely at the top of the food chain!

Looks like the price of injectors have gone up since the last time I bought them. Lincoln has remans for $2,699 and new for $2,899.

The factory fuel temp sensor is located in the return fuel rail. In those same conditions I like to see fuel temps in the 120*-130*ish range.
