Up Pipes

Instead of blocking off EGR I was thinking about going the up pipe route, Florida does not check emissions systems, do all fit Vans applications is one system better than the other?
Thanks, JJ

The stock up pipes will flow plenty for your application. You can keep things simple by just turning off the EGR with EFILive. You can also just replace the drivers side with one from an LB7 or take yours off and have a welding shop cut off the EGR riser and weld it shut. I would take that money and put it towards lift pump, deep pan and bigger cooler for transmission, etc.

If you really feel the need to replace them I would go with ProFab.

I just thought for $140. for the complete kit, it was a deal, because of my tree & crane service I always have a mechanic around to install, no real sweat for me, but after reading I see not much help for a low power diesel, I just thought I would install everything at once exhaust, up pipes, downpipes Y pipe... everyone talks a good game but little proof to back up. The only real plus I see is lower EGTs. I have a plasma cutter and various welding equipment, I was going to buy a new diesel van but the 2.8 does not work for towing, I like what I read about the 3.0 but that would be marginal at best,(and I dought they will install one in a van) nice for everything else but towing, I don't have that much patience For $10,000 for a clean two foot high top van, I want to do all I can to have a reliable home away from home. Just think If you buy a new diesel 4x4 loaded, you lose more driving it off the lot than I'll have in this van, last new diesel 4x4 pick-up I bought was a 2005 Larmie for $35,000 left over, now $70,000. crazy, spending on up grades for this $10,000 van is a joke, comparied to new.

Thanks, JJ
