High mile 2002 CCDRW 4x4 towing 5er

I am trying to educate myself on getting a 5th wheel trailer for my truck.

I want a dual axel, newer used with a garage

So far I really like the 2019 grand design momentum 320

https://www.granddesignrv.com/showro...eel/floorplans

Id have to get something used, older...cheaper..anyone have suggestions or experiences with this or similar 5ers?

Also, is there any cause for concern towing 5th wik gen1 truck with 331k?

Make sure the suspension is good, and regular maintenance is taken care of. The frame needs to be in good shape.

I saw a post from an RV dealer talking about their trucker's LML. Dude had over 1 million miles on the original powertrain, and did about 6000 miles a week with an oil change every week. Pulling trailers the whole time. I wouldn't worry about 331k on your truck if it's been taken care of.

Gone but not forgotten: 2001 silverado 2500hd CC/SB, 4x4, 6.0 vortec, 229k miles when I traded it.

Brakes, steering suspension were all on my short list of inspect/repair/replace

Love the suggestion on frame inspection.

Need to look for rust/cracks/other visible damage or weakness.

Definitely will do inspections on all of this soon.

If The combined costs go over 2-3k it might be better to think about a gen2 truck that could handle a bit more weight, I believe my truck is 14500 towing? Guessing need to look it up...pretty sure gen2 would be rated higher.
